Director of Wellness Center

As the Director you will execute the sales process and strategies to achieve sales and service goals. You will resolve customer issues or complaints by determining optimal solutions while overseeing clubs financial data and taken actions to grow revenues, control costs, and ensure appropriate inventory management to achieve sales and profit goals. As Director you will also achieve sales and customer satisfaction standards and goals by maximizing the members experience and the club revenue. You will also communicate, execute, and manage marketing programs to achieve key initiatives and meet specific monthly and annual sales and profit goals. As Director you will develop and evaluate current wellness center processes, programs, and systems for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities. You will conduct regular meetings and communicate business plans. Monitor financial controls as directed by Corporate Office in order to meet club specific targets. Start–up operations experience will be an asset.

Requirements: Master's Degree in Health Education preferred, or closely related field from an Accredited University. Five (5) years of experience in the operation and management of a recreational facility, including knowledge in marketing, managing exercise programs, overseeing pool operations and intramural and club sports.
Salary: 40k-50k


Associate Director of Wellness Center

Associate Director of Wellness is responsible for providing top-level administrative skills in the daily planning, development, and operation of a comprehensive wellness center. Supervises, leads, and manages staff and the day to day operational activities of the facility. Manages facility utilization priority with regard to recreation, camps, rental, and special events. Supervises facility maintenance, cleanliness, functionality, and safety. Develops and supervises maintenance, and reconciliation. Helps oversee intramurals, club sports, group fitness, rock wall, and aquatics programs. Establishes long and short term goals as well as conducts strategic planning. Develops, implements, and executes departmental policies and procedures. Directs compliance with University policies and regulations. Represents the department in official functions, meetings, conferences, and committees. Develops and cultivates relationships with departments, agencies, and other organizations.

Requirements: Master's Degree preferred in Health Education, or closely related field from an Accredited University. Two (2) years of experience in the operation and management of a recreational facility, including knowledge in marketing, managing exercise programs, overseeing pool operations and intramurals and club sports.
Salary: 35k-40k


Sales and Membership Director

The Membership Director will be responsible for developing annual membership budgets, projecting and achieving membership goals, and implementing/marketing Branch/ Association-wide membership and program promotions with a major focus on community and corporate memberships. In addition, the Membership Director is responsible for recruiting, supervision and scheduling for all front desk personnel. The Membership Director will direct front desk staff in day-to-day processes such as registration, customer service and reception duties. Tasks include facility tours and sales, resolution of customer complaints, follow-up calls to all non-renewals, accurate and timely completion of all sales data and statistics. Focus of this position is sales, marketing and promotions. Salary: 22k-24k

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a related field preferred and/or Bachelors Degree with relevant experience, Minimum of one years experience in proven sales/ marketing revenue generation along with coordinating special fund raising events, One years experience in staff supervision and recruitment, Outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills is a must, Working knowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet software packages, Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Salary: 22k-24k


Building Manager

Building Managers (BM) supervise the entire Recreation Center and all of its employees. BMs are responsible for overall facility operations, enforcing the rules and regulations of the rec. center, enacting the safety plan when appropriate, and any additional tasks that may be assigned. This position will require responsible and effective communication with participants at all times. They will be responsible for opening and/or closing the facility. BMs are expected to promote other campus recreation programs or fitness events and classes. Job Requirements:
  • Positive leadership abilities, responsibility, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm are required.
  • All Recreation Center employees must be CPR, First Aid and AED certified (we will provide certification dates and trainings).
  • Adherence to the employee handbook (which holds uniform guidelines, staff policies, expected behaviors and duties) is required.
  • Attend all BM trainings, monthly staff meetings and other such specified requirements.
  • Check email and voice messages frequently and respond promptly.
Salary: 25k-30k


Pool/Aquatics Coordinator

As an Aquatic Coordinator you will assist with the scheduling of lifeguards, swim instructors and the aquatic fitness programs. You will coordinate the day to operations of the aquatic facility and program quality. You will be responsible for the supervision of the aquatics department. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: staffing, program management, program development and implementation and general maintenance, repair and upkeep of the aquatic venue. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent public relation skills and the ability to manage a diverse group of staff, program participants and general use members. In addition, this position will include some off – site operation as well. Must be able to maintain pool safety; Start –up operations experience will be an asset

Requirements: Candidate must be current in CPO, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid/CPR and lifeguard certificates; have min. 2years experience; must poses an outstanding character and integrity.
Salary: 17k-25k


Group Instructors

Group Instructors lead group exercise classes. Each instructor will provide a fun and safe environment (physically and emotionally). Instructors will hold class in a 50 minute format which includes warm up, workout, cool down. Group Instructor will be scheduled for specific classes. They will be responsible for preparing a routine for that class including safety, technique, and motivational cues. They will be responsible for setting up 10 minutes prior to class, cleaning the room after class, provide good customer service, enforcing the rules and regulations, communicating with other instructors as well as the Manager or Wellness and Group Fitness on a regular basis, and any additional duties that may be assigned. Instructors are expected to promote other campus recreation programs or fitness events and classes. Job Requirements:
  • Positive leadership abilities, responsibility, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm are required.
  • Previous teaching or participation experience is preferred.
  • A nationally accredited group exercise certification is preferred but not required. All Recreation Center employees must be CPR, First Aid and AED certified (we will provide certification dates and trainings).
  • Adherence to the employee handbook (which holds uniform guidelines, staff policies, expected behaviors and duties) is required.
  • Attend all trainings, monthly staff meetings and other such specified requirements.

Personal Trainer

Job Description: Personal Trainers (PT) design fitness programs, implement the programs, and motivate each client on an individual basis. When taking a client through a workout the trainer will focus on the client, their safety, needs, and how to best achieve their fitness goals. Each program will incorporate the five components of fitness. They will be asked to assist with special events and workshops. PTs will be responsible for monitoring the safety of their clients. They will be responsible for supervising and motivating each client through the entire workout. PTs will need to provide good customer service, communicate with Fitness Attendants as well as the Manager or Wellness and Group Fitness on a regular basis, and any additional duties that may be assigned. Attendants are expected to promote other campus recreation programs or fitness events and classes.
Job Requirements:
  • Positive leadership abilities, responsibility, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm are required.
  • A background in Kinesiology, Health Science or related fitness activity is required. A nationally accredited personal trainer certification is preferred (with certain training options it is not required).
  • All Recreation Center employees must be CPR, First Aid and AED certified (we will provide certification dates and trainings).
  • Adherence to the employee handbook (which holds uniform guidelines, staff policies, expected behaviors and duties) is required.
  • Attend all PT & FA trainings, monthly staff meetings and other such specified requirements.

    Company is looking for an Chef to become part of our team providing health services to our clients. Work environment is upscale and comfortable. You will lead and manage the dietary needs of our clients and staff. This is a part-time position responsible for menu planning and development, food preparation, and food safety compliance. If you are capable of planning and preparing nutritious, delicious and creative meals, we would like to talk with you.     Nurses

    Responsible for clinical and educational programs and activities for corporate and/or residential communities. Develops and conducts a Medical Wellness Program, Exercise and Health Programs, in collaboration with the Health and Fitness staff. Promotes programs and services to community. Perform clinical functions to include, but not limited to: routine history, vaccinations, finger stick , immunizations, blood pressure measurement, and client education as necessary.

    Nutritionist/Dietician

    Primary Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
    • Consult with Clients on dietary plans such as specific areas of nutrition, weight loss/gain, hypertension, elevated cholesterol or triglycerides, osteoporosis, anorexia, bulimia, diabetes and pregnancy.
    • Conduct initial complementary nutritional consultations.
    • Develop programs that are consistent with clients goals, test results, and recognized guidelines.
    • Demonstrate teamwork attitude and encourage interest and promotion of the nutrition program within all departments.
    • Conduct computerized nutritional analysis.
    • Utilize knowledge of current research and trends in the nutritional field.
    • Incorporate safety awareness into daily activities.

    Fitness Coordinator

    The Fitness Coordinator reports to the Associate Director for Programs. This position is responsible for assisting with the overall operation and supervision of a comprehensive fitness program and facilities.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Overall management of the fitness floor and fitness programs
    • Coordinate and develops a comprehensive fitness program including, but not limited to, Group Exercise, Personal Training, Fitness Certifications, Adaptive Fitness Programs, Fitness Orientations, and other Special Events
    • Coordinates the student staff, including graduate assistants, for all fitness programs and floor coverage
    • Budget preparation and management for assigned areas
    • Ensures maintenance, including preventative maintenance, appearance, and appropriate inventory of all fitness equipment and supplies and assists in recommending future purchases
    • Assist with planning for the current expansion of the Recreation and Wellness Center.
